About the Role - Creative Media Lecturer
We are seeking an inspiring and versatile Lecturer in Creative Media to teach across Levels 1–3. You’ll be part of a dynamic department delivering courses in film, television, digital content, radio, and VFX, with opportunities to support animation and motion graphics as part of a diverse and evolving timetable.

Key Responsibilities - Creative Media Lecturer
1. Deliver engaging lessons in Creative Digital Media (film, TV, digital, and broadcast production).
2. Support learners’ development through tutorials, mentoring, and progression advice.
3. Contribute to course design and curriculum development within the Creative Industries department.
4. Embed safeguarding, equality and diversity, sustainability, English and Maths within teaching practice.
5. Maintain professional standards and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
6. Level 2 / GCSE / O Level in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above, or equivalent).
7. A degree in Media or a related subject, or significant industry experience.
8. A Full Cert Ed or PGCE (or willingness to work towards this).
9. Experience in Creative Digital Broadcast and Film Media.
Desirable:
10. Experience with assessment and moderation across awarding bodies.
11. Knowledge of IQA and UCAS processes.
12. Experience working as a tutor supporting student progression.
Skills & Knowledge
13. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
14. Strong understanding of modern media practices and the film and television production process.
15. Excellent teamwork, organisation, and time management skills.
16. Ability to meet deadlines and uphold professional standards.
Additional Information
17. Some evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required.
18. The role is initially to cover staff sickness, so the contract duration is currently unspecified.
