Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team based in Reading.
The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Plant, Equipment, and Building Services.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, improving machinery performance, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
2. Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment, liaising with the client on machinery PPM requests.
3. Fault finding on all types of machinery.
4. Support health and safety initiatives within the department.
5. Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise, working on Heavy Industrial Machines and Overhead Cranes.
6. Write and follow Risk Assessments, ensuring safety and compliance.
7. Complete documentation as per rules and legislation.
8. Work on Three Phase Systems with voltages up to 440V.
9. Maintain Motors, Gearboxes, Valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
10. Utilize mobile devices to project and complete work through the CAFM Maintenance System.
11. Plan daily work using email and calendar tools for efficiency.
12. Liaise with onsite Site Services to manage Building Services issues.
13. Act as the responsible person for the department when required and deputize the Shift Leader during leave or sickness.
14. Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
15. Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Experience Required:
* A recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
* Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
* Electrical qualifications, e.g., City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition.
* Mechanical qualifications to a standard acceptable to City and Guilds.
* Multi-skilled with experience on 3-phase motors, drives, inverters, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
* Fault finding ability.
* PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
* NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
* Ability to supervise contractors and write Risk and Method Statements.
* Understanding of permits.
Desirable:
* Working at Height Qualification.
* IPAF certification.
* AP qualifications.
* Experience in Heavy Engineering.
