A Literacy Support Assistant is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.
This will be a full time long term Literacy Support Assistant position, with scope to go permanent.
Working hours for this Literacy Support Assistant post will be 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities for this Literacy Support Assistant role will include but not be limited to:
6. Supporting Dyslexic students in 1:1, group or whole class situations
7. Working with the teachers to ensure each student's Literacy learning needs are identified
8. Leading small group Literacy sessions and interventions
9. Attending to students' personal needs when required
10. Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
11. Undertaking Literacy learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
Experience of working with Dyslexic pupils, knowledge of supporting pupils in line with the Hackney Lit programme and running spelling interventions will be highly desirable qualities when being considered for this Literacy Support Assistant position.
The rates of pay for this Literacy Support Assistant post will be between £82.14 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff.

Requirements
Applications are welcome if you're a Graduate or experienced Literacy Support Assistant.
You're also welcome to apply if you're a British trained Literacy Support Assistant or overseas trained Literacy Support Assistant.

14. UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
15. Experience of working with children/young people from the ages of 11 to 18 or as a Literacy Support Assistant in UK schools
