Personal Assistant – Thornton Cleveleys area. LILS/EM/AS Location: Thornton Cleveleys Hours: 9 hours per week (flexible – afternoons and evenings) Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour We are looking for a caring, reliable and patient Personal Assistant to support a female client living in Thornton Cleveleys. The role is to provide encouragement and support to help build confidence, promote independence and assist with accessing the local community. Duties will include: • Motivating and encouraging the client to get up and start the day • Supporting attendance at appointments • Encouraging and assisting the client to access the local community • Providing reassurance and emotional support where needed • Accompanying the client to activities such as the cinema, restaurants or other social outings The client enjoys listening to music, going to the cinema, eating out and is interested in learning how to use a sewing machine. The ideal applicant will have an understanding of supporting individuals who experience anxiety or have a nervous disposition. Patience, empathy and a positive, encouraging attitude are essential, as the client experiences low self-esteem and body dysmorphia. Requirements: • Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle • Proof of business insurance for the vehicle is required • Experience or understanding of supporting people with anxiety is desirable • Must be comfortable with pets, as there is a cat in the home This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting others to build confidence and participate in activities they enjoy.
