Job Overview
The post-holder will act as a Keyworker for patients diagnosed with skin cancer, providing a link between patients and healthcare professionals across primary, secondary, and tertiary care, advocating for patients and families.
Supporting the Band 7 Lead CNS, the post-holder will develop, implement, and evaluate the Skin Cancer Service to improve patient care standards and promote seamless service delivery within a multi-professional framework.
Responsibilities
* Involve service users in service development and communicate recommendations to the MDT and Cancer Management Team.
* Establish follow-up nurse-led clinics for newly diagnosed and treatment patients.
* Reflect core CNS roles: clinical practice, management, education, research, and audit, aligned with the national cancer agenda.

Applicant Requirements
Must have appropriate UK professional registration. This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020, requiring a DBS disclosure.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
* Ward/department management experience as a nurse in charge
* Developed knowledge in dermatology nursing
* Proven experience at Band 5
Qualifications/Training
* Current RN registration
* Willing to undertake Non-Medical Prescribing, minor skin surgery, phototherapy, and wound management courses
* Professional development and relevant post-registration courses
Personal Attributes & Skills
* Excellent verbal communication with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and relatives
* Ability to deliver training and work independently
* Conflict management skills are desirable
