Join our Practice Development Team and play a vital role in shaping professional education and development.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Practice Development Team, providing a high‑quality, responsive and professional support service that enables the team – and the wider Professional and Commissioned Education (PCE) Team – to deliver their work effectively.
As the first point of contact, you will be the friendly and professional face of the team, confidently managing a wide range of internal and external enquiries. You’ll use your excellent communication and organisational skills to take detailed messages, liaise with colleagues, offer clear advice, and resolve queries wherever possible.
No two days will be the same. You will be trusted to work efficiently, handle information accurately, and ensure smooth communication across teams, helping to maintain high standards and positive working relationships.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, takes pride in delivering an excellent service, and wants to support the development of healthcare professionals.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for ensuring that the training and development programmes delivered by the Practice Development Team are run efficiently and to a consistently high standard, in a way that promotes a professional and welcoming ethos.
Provide high‑level support to the wider Professional and Commissioned Education team where required, including setting up technical teaching sessions, clinical skills training, and supervising new starters. Work independently and as part of the wider team.
Assist the team to facilitate the co‑ordination of the learning experience of pre‑registered and newly registered healthcare professionals. Work collaboratively across the group to support the delivery of educational plans and the nursing strategy to ensure an ongoing effective service for clinical staff.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of consistent professional and educational development.
Knowledge & Experience
* IT skills including use of Microsoft packages.
* Experience on a ward / NHS experience.
* Evidence of assisting with teaching.
