Are you an experienced childcare professional ready to lead a busy, thriving nursery? We are looking for a Nursery Manager who can inspire a passionate team, provide outstanding care and education, and build lasting relationships with children, parents, and the local community.
About the RoleAs Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safety. You will lead a strong, engaged team, manage budgets and administration, and promote the nurserys reputation in the local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a busy nursery, supporting staff and fostering a positive, motivated team culture.
* Implement the EYFS framework in line with company and Ofsted guidelines.
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
* Recruit, induct, and develop staff, ensuring they have the training and support to thrive.
* Maintain accurate records for children and staff in line with GDPR guidance.
* Identify team training needs and develop career progression plans.
* Manage budgets, invoicing, and fee collection efficiently.
* Oversee health, safety, and building maintenance, ensuring a safe environment for children.
* Drive a positive nursery culture, promoting high standards of care, compassion, and continuous learning.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
* Take overall accountability for safeguarding across the nursery.
* Promote a strong safeguarding culture and ensure staff know how to respond to concerns.
* Act as the first point of contact for safeguarding issues and escalate to relevant authorities when required.
* Maintain accurate and secure records of all concerns and referrals.
* Keep up-to-date with safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practice.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
* Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training (up to date).
* Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
* Minimum 3 years experience in an early years setting, including leadership experience.
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
* Excellent people management, communication, and organisational skills.
* A passion for early childhood education.
