About the role We�re looking for a Business Development Representative who thrives on creating opportunities, building relationships and driving results. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers and play a key role in generating qualified leads for our sales team. This is a proactive role where success depends on your energy, persistence and ability to engage prospects. You�ll be based in our Lincoln office where around 60 colleagues support both the UK and global teams. You will work closely with a small and ambitious Sales and Marketing team and collaborate with teams across Europe and the US. If you enjoy cold calling, appointment setting and working towards clear targets, this role will suit you well. What you�ll do You will take responsibility for the early stages of our sales process. Your work includes: � Making 40�50 outbound calls per day to identify and qualify new leads � Scheduling meetings for the sales team with prospective clients � Building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers � Using Salesforce and outreach tools to manage tasks and follow-ups � Exploring creative ideas to strengthen engagement (e.g., sending marketing gifts) � Attending relevant trade shows to establish and nurture contacts Who you are You bring energy, resilience and a strong motivation to achieve results. You communicate clearly, enjoy collaboration and are comfortable taking initiative. We�re looking for � Strong verbal and written communication skills in English � A proactive and persuasive attitude with high work ethic � Confidence in cold calling and appointment setting (experience preferred) � Ability to learn quickly and adapt to targets � Interest in technology and the manufacturing or construction sector is a plus Career path This role offers clear progression opportunities within 18�36 months. While you can stay in the role longer, most BDRs move into advanced sales or marketing positions as they grow.
