About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist / Procurement Specialist to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover. This role offers the opportunity to work within a global leader in energy technology, supporting procurement activities that directly impact efficiency, cost, and delivery performance. Key Responsibilities Negotiate best cost and delivery with suppliers for assigned commodities. Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely follow-up and issue resolution. Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to drive on-time delivery. Update ERP systems to support accurate planning and reporting. Balance tactical procurement execution with strategic initiatives for cost and lead-time reduction. Work collaboratively with Commodity Buyers to expand technical and commercial knowledge. Actively participate in supplier performance reviews. Contribute to projects as a team member or lead small-scale initiatives. What Were Looking For Essential: Minimum 2 years experience in Procurement / Buying / Sourcing. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage suppliers effectively. Resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Preferred: Industry background in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Automotive, Railway, Aerospace, Chemical, or Defence. Technical or engineering knowledge, ideally within electrical components (connectors, harnesses, Oracle ERP experience). Working Hours & Benefits 37.5 hours per week (MondayFriday, 8:0016:00 with flexible start times). Hybrid option: 1-day remote working per week. Competitive salary.
