IT Network & Telecommunications Administrator
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hour week)
Location: Belfast, Office based

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for managing technology efficiently using tools and scripting. Organizes, leads, and coordinates with other IT departments to ensure system components are effectively managed.
* Designs and develops complex, integrated solutions to meet business requirements or improve Garmin’s network and telecommunications systems
* Performs cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure cost-effective operations. Measures feasibility and makes recommendations
* Continuously develops expertise on network & telecommunications systems and emerging technologies
* Communicates effectively about system operations and changes
* Adheres to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory standards
* Understands and manages capacity, redundancy, and health of network & telecommunications systems
* Ensures security requirements are met or exceeded
* Uses standards and procedures proficiently
* Communicates effectively in team or departmental settings
* Aligns with Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy, demonstrating enthusiasm for company success
* Mentors less experienced IT Administrators
* Provides reliable solutions through sound problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
* Performs minor system upgrades
* Uses tools and scripting for efficient management
* Recommends component improvements
* Identifies system interdependencies
* Coordinates non-project changes across teams
* Participates in system or application roadmap planning
* Leads meetings with IT system users
* Adapts well to change and values feedback
* Monitors security access levels
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business, or relevant experience (or 2 years of relevant experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience)
* Ability to solve moderately complex technical problems independently
* Experience in implementing technology solutions
* Strong communication skills in small team settings
* Effective documentation and organizational skills
* Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including Telephony: Avaya, SIP, Microsoft Teams Voice
