Job Type: Full-Time – Permanent.
Salary: £36,500 - £42,500 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
Location: Great Totham, Maldon CM9.

The company is a family business in Great Totham, Essex, specialising in professional ground care machinery. Clients include schools, contractors, councils and private estates, and the company aims to provide high levels of customer service and top quality products to professional customers. Staff come from various mechanical backgrounds such as car mechanics, plant fitters, forklift mechanics, HGV fitters and agricultural engineers, making the work environment diverse and supportive.
Machines are primarily professional mowers like Ransomes Parkway, with easy access and a pleasant working environment. The role is not back‑breaking and offers a friendly atmosphere.
About The Role
Successful applicants will recondition plant and machinery to like‑new standards, maintain a fleet of machines and organise pre‑delivery inspections on reconditioned equipment. The role suits people who enjoy working to a high standard and taking pride in their work.
Candidate Requirements
* Diesel engine experience, fault finding: Kubota and Yanmar engines
* Working knowledge of auto electrical systems – relays, fuses, switches, basic circuits, fault finding
* Welding – gas, arc and MIG all mild steel
* Full driving licence
* A positive attitude
* Optional skills: spray painting, tyre changing, welding, engineering, lathe work
* Heated workshop with storage for tools (all insured)
* Some on‑site work available
* In‑house training provided
* Forklift and telehandler training tickets will be provided
Additional Info
* 40‑hour standard week
* 8.00am – 4.30pm, Monday – Thursday
* 7.30am – 4pm, Friday
* 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
* Overtime available
* Job types: Full‑time, Permanent
* Salary dependent on experience but always good rates of pay
