Overview
To support the provision of Health and Social Care to the people experiencing mental ill health in a range of settings within the context of a multi-disciplinary secondary care service and support the delivery of evidence based mental health care to clients in resource centres and a range of community premises.
The post holder will, on occasions, work without direct supervision. The post holder will assist with the organisation and facilitation of the medication monitoring clinics and therapeutic groups. Work within a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of a Team Leader or community psychiatric nurse (CPN). Provide support to service users on an individual basis, in their own home and in the community. With support and supervision from Team Leader and CPN/CC be responsible for and manage own workload and safety. Actively participate in continuing professional development through the Knowledge Skills Framework. Prepare and facilitate medication clinics undertaking venepuncture and ECG monitoring.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. While the candidate doesn't need Welsh skills, it is advantageous when short-listing. Not fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
