Technical Writer - Business & Investment Cases (Energy / Technology) Overview My client is seeking an experienced Technical Writer / Author with a strong background in developing business and investment cases within technology environments. This role will focus on producing high-quality,structured documentation that clearly articulates technology initiatives,investment requirements,and strategic value for senior stakeholders and governance boards. The successful candidate will work closely with technical,financial,and business teams to translate complex information into clear,persuasive business cases that support funding decisions. Experience within the energy or utilities sector would be highly beneficial. Key Responsibilities * Lead the development and authorship of detailed business and investment cases for technology initiatives. * Translate complex technical and operational information into clear,structured documentation suitable for senior leadership and governance approval. * Collaborate with technology teams,finance,and programme stakeholders to gather data and validate assumptions used in business cases. * Produce high-quality written artefacts, including investment proposals,briefing papers,and supporting documentation. * Ensure all documentation follows a thorough,structured,and evidence-based approach with strong attention to detail. * Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to capture accurate technical,financial,and strategic inputs. * Support the preparation of documentation required for regulatory or governance submissions where applicable. Required Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a Technical Writer,Technical Author,or Business Case Writer within a technology or IT environment. * Demonstrated experience writing business cases or investment proposals to secure funding. * Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information. * Excellent attention to detail and structured analytical approach. * Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills across technical and business teams.
