They are actively seeking an AD level Structural Engineer to assist in the leading and management of the team in working on residential, commercial, industrial and mixed use development projects.In order to be considered for this Associate Director of Structures role you will;Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalentAt least 10 years post qualification experience in civil and structural engineeringFull UK driving license and own transportChartered (MICE or MIStructE)Key responsibilities of this Associate Director of Structures role include:Detailed knowledge of structural design and detailing using all relevant UK and European codes of practiceProducing preliminary design solutions and reviewing with clients as part of design strategyProducing detailed designs, calculations and specifications and technical reviewsAttendance at design, project progress, and client engagement meetingsLiaising with contractors, clients, third party organisations and stakeholders, answering queries in relation to technical detailingDesign in all forms of construction including steelwork, reinforced / precast concrete, masonry and timberStructural appraisals of commercial, industrial and residential structuresManagement of projects cost and programmeManagement of sustainability criteriaComplying with designers' duties under the CDM RegulationsProduce sketches, drawings and writing structural appraisal reportsSupervising the CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers on technical / construction details and undertaking QA reviewsSelling, marketing and business development of existing clients and being alert to new leads ESSENTIAL SKILLS:Confidence and ability with team and project managementAmbitious, committed, and with integrityGood experience of structural analysis and design softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracy of own work and that of others working with youAbility to supervise and develop a team whilst working as part of a wider teamBe proactive without supervisionClient focused approach with good interpersonal and communication skillsFor this Associate Director of Structural Engineering role our client is offering:Attractive salary dependent upon experience25 days holiday including Christmas closure, plus statutory Bank HolidayAnnual salary reviewsStakeholder pensionProfessional subscriptionsProfessional exam feesEngineering training coursesCPDs, workshops and mentoringRegular social and family eventsFlexible, friendly and supportive work environmentProfit shares and bonusesTo discuss this AD Structural Engineer role please call MIKAELA on (phone number removed) or email your CV to
