We are recruiting a Technician at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time Location: Highways House, Blackwood Team: Highway Engineering Group This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation. We pay an attractive salary of £29,540 - £31,022 and offer access to training and development opportunities. Working as part of the Network Contracting Services (NCS) Group, you will assist in the delivery of both reactive and capital highway infrastructure projects. This will include supporting the maintenance, repair and improvement of highways, footways and carriageways, as well as civil engineering schemes such as structures and retaining walls. The role primarily supports the Assistant/Senior Engineer and will involve scheduling resources, coordinating day-to-day activities, supervising works on site and inspections to ensure works are delivered safely and in line with relevant standards. You will also assist in organising the workforce, materials and equipment to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. For the role, we ask that you have: A Relevant Level 3 qualification. General computer literacy with knowledge in use of Microsoft Office applications. Experience of highway construction or maintenance.
