We’re working with a specialist manufacturing business on an exciting project starting immediately - and they need a capable and experienced Interim Production Manager to support operations on a fixed-term contract until March 2026. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a bespoke, small-batch manufacturing environment. You won’t be on the tools, but you’ll be front and centre, making sure teams are supported, processes are efficient, and customer orders are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality. Responsibilities of the Interim Production Manager: Oversee and support key production areas including paint, spray, assembly, and electrical assembly Lead, coach and develop team leaders and their wider teams Report into the Head of Operations and work closely with leadership to meet project milestones Maintain safe and compliant working practices across the shop floor Monitor production performance, control costs, and hit key delivery deadlines Share your manufacturing know-how to help improve and streamline processes As Interim Production Manager you need to have: Proven experience in a production or operations management role, ideally within bespoke manufacturing A collaborative and approachable leadership style Strong communication skills and the ability to manage through others The ability to support busy teams and keep a complex operation running smoothly What’s in it for you: Fixed term contract for approx. 10 months (until March 2026) Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm, Friday: 7:30am–12:30pm Competitive salary (inside IR35) with negotiable rates based on experience Chance to support a high-value, fast-moving project with a close-knit, skilled team The Interim Production Manager will play a key part in ensuring this business can successfully deliver a time-sensitive, high-impact project.
