Salisbury Pantry aims to go beyond the food bank model in creating a sustainable and long:term solution to food poverty and work as a membership scheme. Our Salisbury Pantry shop is part of our Communities team.
This role is a job share where responsibilities are shared with our existing manager. The role involves managing Wednesday pantry operations and working with the existing manager to manage membership and funder communications, manage, support and develop the volunteer team, develop and deliver promotion events as well as liaising with food donation partners and suppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained. There will be responsibility for maintaining our food hygiene standards and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment at the Pantry.
We are looking for a motivated person to deliver a friendly and efficient essential community resource. You will work to support the Head of Community Services to plan the long:term development and sustainability of the Pantry.

* Experience
* working in a catering or food retail environment
* delivering quality customer care

* working with and handling cash
* using a range of IT systems including outlook word, excel, data bases
* Knowledge
* Food Hygiene standards

* Ability to plan ahead for staffing and stock requirements
* Ability to keep accurate records using a variety of formats (paper records, excel spreadsheets)
* Ability to work efficiently and complete all daily and weekly tasks without direct supervision
* Qualifications
* Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to work towards)
* Driving licence
* Attributes
* A high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to deliver quality customer service
* A positive attitude to working with a wider range of people with diverse backgrounds
* A positive attitude to working to support people on low incomes, working and out of work, to provide nutritious food for their family
* A flexible attitude to undertaking a variety of duties
