Disability Assessor – Hybrid/Remote
Registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists & Paramedics

Type: Full-time | Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Assessments: Complete telephone, video, and face-to-face assessments to evaluate functional impact of physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions.
Review Evidence: Examine medical records, GP reports, and supporting documentation to ensure a fair and accurate assessment.
Gather Clinical Information: Use structured clinical questioning to understand daily living challenges and health limitations.
Evaluate Impact: Assess the real-world effects of long-term conditions on daily function and independence.
Produce Reports: Write clear, concise, and impartial medical reports that meet DWP standards and quality assurance requirements.
Maintain Professional Standards: Deliver high-quality assessments in line with clinical governance, training, and compliance expectations.
Use IT Systems Confidently: Record assessment outcomes accurately and submit reports within set timeframes.
Training & Development All successful candidates will complete a paid 6–12 week training programme (depending on experience and chosen pathway).
The training includes:
DWP assessment techniques and policy framework
Advanced report writing and clinical reasoning
Communication and interview skills
Mentorship from experienced clinicians
Please note:
Annual leave cannot be taken during the first 6 weeks of training.
Start dates available from January.
Existing notice periods can be accommodated.
Who We’re Looking For We are seeking registered healthcare professionals from adult-focused backgrounds who are confident communicators with strong report writing skills.

Essential Criteria:
Minimum 12 months’ post-registration clinical experience in an adult setting
At least 1 year of recent UK-based clinical practice
Full, clean registration with the NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
Full right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
Strong clinical knowledge of long-term conditions and functional impact
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Confident IT and typing skills, including ability to talk and type simultaneously
Salary & Benefits:
Salary Bands
PIP Disability Assessor: £39,000 – £42,000
WCA Disability Assessor: £41,500 – £43,500
Performance Bonus: Up to 10% annually
