Rural Surveyor / Land Agent
Locations: North West England
I’m partnering with a leading rural and infrastructure consultancy that’s looking to appoint an experienced Surveyor/Land Agent to support a growing portfolio of utility, infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the North of England. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys diverse project work, stakeholder engagement, and the chance to shape long‑term asset strategies for major clients.
The Role
You’ll work closely with clients, landowners, contractors and internal specialists to deliver land and property advice, project support and negotiations across a varied caseload. Responsibilities include delivering high‑quality land services, managing multiple schemes simultaneously, supporting junior colleagues, and helping develop new business opportunities as the team continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional land and property advice on behalf of clients.
* Deliver utility, infrastructure and renewables projects to a high standard.
* Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and landowners.
* Lead negotiations and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Support asset management strategies, budgets and improvement programmes.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
* Contribute to business development across the North West.
* Support trainees and help foster a positive team environment.
Skills & Experience
* MRICS or AssocRICS preferred (or working towards qualification).
* Experience in a similar rural, land management or infrastructure role.
* Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, GIS; MS Projects desirable).
* Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
* Confident communicating both on‑site and virtually.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
* Proactive, team‑orientated and commercially aware.
