Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Warrington / North West (with travel)
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits
Overview
We are supporting a well-established and innovative business operating within the sustainable technology sector, delivering advanced reverse vending solutions across retail and recycling environments.
This position offers the opportunity to join during a key pre‑DRS phase, where you will play an important role in supporting installations, maintaining system performance, and ensuring a high standard of service across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out installation, commissioning, and setup of equipment, alongside site surveys and technical assessments
* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software faults, acting as a key escalation point for complex issues
* Analyse machine performance data, identifying trends and implementing improvements to maximise uptime and efficiency
* Provide training and technical support to engineers and partners, while contributing to documentation and service coordination
Requirements
* Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics) or relevant hands‑on experience, with a solid electro‑mechanical skillset
* Background working with automated or retail‑based equipment and familiarity with Linux‑based systems
* Full UK driving licence and ability to work autonomously in a field‑based role
* Strong communication and problem‑solving ability, with a proactive and organised approach; Health & Safety certification (e.g. IOSH) beneficial
