Opportunity:
We are seeking a Paralegal to join Baker McKenzie's highly-regarded Intellectual Property team in Belfast. The successful candidate will support the Firm's IP practice, handling IP prosecution, maintenance, and transactional work in a deadline-driven environment. This role involves managing global IP portfolios, requiring a broad understanding of different international requirements. You will collaborate with diverse teams worldwide, including technology teams, paralegals, lawyers, and partners, and coordinate effectively with internal and external counsel and clients.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Technical IP Support: Managing trade mark formalities, including registration, prosecution, renewal, and post-registration steps.
2. Client Reporting: Preparing reports independently.
3. Global IP M&A: Supporting recordals of assignments, licenses, and changes at local registries, liaising with local counsel, drafting legal documents, and coordinating with stakeholders.
4. IP Asset Due Diligence: Conducting audits using official registries and screening platforms.
5. Anti-Counterfeiting: Drafting product guides, managing seizure notifications, liaising with infringers, and supporting filings.
6. Trade Mark Services: Conducting searches, drafting reports, and providing watching services.
7. Service Standards: Following procedures, managing deadlines, and maintaining high-quality service.
Essential Criteria:
* Relevant undergraduate degree with 2.1 or above preferred.
* Legal background with IP/trade mark experience (preferred).
* Authorization to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria:
* CITMA qualification (advantageous).
