Job Title: NHS Locum Consultant General Surgeon
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a NHS Locum Consultant General Surgeon position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide benign general surgical and upper gastrointestinal surgical services to the community served by the Trust.
2. Collaborate with colleagues to develop general surgical services further.
3. Manage inpatient and outpatient general surgery cases, sharing on-call duties (1 in 9 emergency cover).
4. Support the development of the General Surgery service.
5. Provide outpatient services for new referrals and ongoing patient care.
6. Maintain responsibility for patient care and departmental funding.
7. Undertake administrative duties related to these responsibilities.
Support and Facilities
The post offers dedicated office space, a computer, IT facilities, and medical secretarial support. Informal visits and inquiries are welcomed.
