RE Lead (Temporary to Permanent) – Location: Chorley, Lancashire – Start Date: 1st December – Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent – Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning and delivery of an engaging and well-balanced Religious Education curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Support the academic and personal development of students through thought-provoking lessons that encourage reflection, respect, and a deeper understanding of faith, belief, and ethics.
* Lead and inspire a small team of staff, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning while promoting the subject's importance across the wider school.
* Track student progress, support departmental planning, and contribute to whole-school priorities.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate others.
* Proven track record of raising attainment and contributing to curriculum development (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
