Framework Housing Association is the lead provider of drug and alcohol treatment within the City of Nottingham and is offering an exciting opportunity to join a team of staff in this Care Quality commission rated GOOD care setting. Edwin House is a 41-bed facility based in Radford which provides residential accommodation. The role involves supporting people who present with a range of complex support and health conditions resultant from historic or current problematic substance misuse. Framework is looking to appoint a Senior Support Worker that will take a leadership role in ensuring the provision of high standards of care and support are delivered to service users to enable them to gain some control over their substance use, improve their quality of life and build recovery capital within the residential care and move on support areas. Duties & Responsibilities Be responsible for assessing and evaluating the needs of Service Users, recording relevant information specific to persons care and support needs. To undertake and review assessments of need and risk and develop appropriate risk management strategies and care and support. To work with service users and other professionals to agreed care and support plans. To liaise appropriately with service users family, carers and significant others, to ensure appropriate support is offered. To take on and develop a specialist interest role and act as a central point of information and advice on the specialist interest area for the wider staff group. Take a lead role in the planning/ management/ prioritisation of shifts to include direct support to Service users, office duties, Monitoring and accurate daily record keeping. To take responsibility for the day to day supervision, management and appraisal of less senior staff To undertake general personal care and support functions within the service as required.
