Clinical Lead – Deputy Manager - Wigan Full-time | Permanent | £50,000 – £55,000 DOE Monday to Friday, with weekend cover/on-call when required Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to step into a leadership role where you can make a real impact? We’re seeking a Clinical Lead – Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering outstanding, person-centred care within a modern, purpose-built care home. The Role As the Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager, you will: Provide strong leadership and support to staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery. Deputise for the Registered Manager, overseeing all aspects of the service in their absence. Manage day-to-day operations including staffing, care planning, and clinical governance. Lead on clinical decision-making, offering guidance and mentorship to the care team. Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals. Promote a culture of person-centred, dignified care. What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Experience: Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN. At least 2 years’ nursing experience in a care home or similar environment. Proven experience in leadership or staff supervision. Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and clinical governance. Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to mentor, motivate and develop staff. Organised, resilient, and committed to high-quality care.
