Are you a Social Worker with significant experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties, and interested in working in CAMHS?

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team holding a caseload, providing mental health assessments and a range of evidence-based clinical interventions to children, adolescents and their families. They will offer training and advice to professionals working across multi-agencies. They will provide input to the CAMH Social Work structure and Quality Improvement initiatives in Hounslow CAMHS.

The successful candidate will join our friendly Tier 3 Adolescent Team within Hounslow Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service.

We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled and innovative clinicians with a broad range of specialist and generic experience, who will be able to maintain clinical curiosity and engage in reflective practice as well as be able to be an advocate for children, young people and families' needs.


Responsibilities

* Provide high-quality specialised CAMHS assessment and therapeutic interventions as well as risk management work for children and young people presenting with complex and severe mental health problems.
* Provide an accessible, mental health assessment and intervention for children and young people that is sensitive to their cultural, ethnic, religious, contextual, family and developmental needs.
* Promote mental health, well-being and personal and family growth with an emphasis on working towards client goals, giving the client informed choices, as well as using appropriate, evidence-based available resources and treatment packages.
* Make clear autonomous decisions based on analysis of complex presenting problems & judgments based on available treatment options.
* Offer specialist advice and consultation to other professionals across a range of agencies including: primary care, social care, and education.
* Confidently communicate at a high level both verbally and in writing, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Provide training, consultation and advice to colleagues in the team and across multi-agencies involved with child and adolescent mental health.
