Account Manager – FM Segment (Nightingale Hospital, Exeter)
BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an Account Manager to join our FM Segment of the business and team based at Nightingale Hospital, Exeter. The Account Manager will manage, develop and ensure cohesion of a dedicated service delivery team within a busy NHS environment.
You will be responsible for overall operational delivery of all hard and soft services on site, H&S management and coordination of all FM services required by the contract, which includes M&E, L8, Fire and Building Fabric, as well as Soft services such as cleaning, catering and linen services.
Responsibilities
* Taking full profit and loss accountability for the contract.
* Ensuring statutory compliance across the site is maintained.
* Work collaboratively with the helpdesk team to ensure all contract SLA/KPI’s are achieved.
* Arrange and control reactive maintenance and repair works.
* Manage any minor project works and collaborate with our internal project team on complex project works.
* Manage the engineering on site team and nominated sub-contractors.
* Use all resources efficiently for the contracted service delivery requirements.
* Assist in identifying employee learning and development needs to meet company objectives.
* Maintain quality, environmental, safety and health management systems requirements.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and other legislative requirements, including applicable standards and codes of practice.
* Implement and monitor all BAM FM policies.
* Ensure facilities and services meet contract specifications.
* Operate services in the most economical and efficient manner.
* Instigate and monitor BAM FM Health and Safety Procedures.
* Ensure safe working practices are adhered to by contractors.
* Keep up to date records in accordance with legislative and BAM FM requirements.
* Liaise with client representatives at all levels.
* Prepare concise monthly reports for the client.
* Participate within the contracts “on call rota”.
Your Team
The post holder will be responsible for managing a site team and third‑party subcontractors.

Qualifications
* Time‑served Mechanical or Electrical trained individual.
* Vocational qualifications in mechanical or electrical HNC level and experience in assessing the operation and maintenance duties within a large facility.
* Holder of NEC4 FMC qualification or willingness to undertake training to gain it.
* Service management experience relevant to a working environment within the facilities management industry.
* Experience working in critical environments and managing engineering teams.
* Strong leadership attributes, the ability to communicate, organise, motivate, manage and develop staff.
* Experience of hard service delivery.
* Membership of an appropriate professional body is desirable.
* Strong IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CMMS and finance package software.
* Pass an enhanced DBS check and client‑specific security clearance.
* Full United Kingdom Driving Licence.
