Job Description
As a Project Manager, your focus will be to lead a highly skilled team of workstream leads to deliver new product development programmes to support the client’s Product Portfolio, across Connectivity and Entertainment. You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of Projects within the Global Device and Software Organisation from ideation to launch and post launch. You will ensure alignment across workstreams, monitoring progress and providing reports both within the wider team and to senior management up to and including exec level. You will be required to maintain the momentum and motivation of your project team to ensure the project meets its targets through all phases.
- As a professional, be known for your specialised expertise as Project Manager
- Project or Program Management with Video domain knowledge (either STB or TV or Embedded STB/Linux)
- As a Project Manager, be accountable for how your team works and what they’re able to achieve
- Contribute your ideas to solve complex problems within your project, and support others to do so too
- Make decisions guided by client policies and ways of working, with input from your manager
- Drive alignment, ways of working and project delivery across all workstreams
- Work with key stakeholders in hardware, design, product, software, compliance and manufacturing team to define schedules and key dependencies
- Align with ODM’S to support development strategy.
- Aligning estimates, design and delivery plans with multiple workstreams covering project areas including but not limited to SW, HW, Product, Manufacturing and the Business Stakeholders.
-Maintain visibility of the latest project status and budget tracking.
-Interacting, maintaining and supporting effective relationships with the workstream stakeholders, suppliers and other areas of the development team including external technology partners.
-Anticipate, identify and drive resolution of technical challenges and interdependencies to prevent downstream problems.
- Ensure all plans are detailed and documented within smartsheets accounting for all workstreams
-Make optimal trade-offs between schedule, resources, and scope, and apply advanced technical and business knowledge to address major risks, challenges, and obstacles throughout the project phases.
-Continuously challenge the ways of working to ensure continuous improvement within the project and worksteams.
- Work with your head of department and other senior managers within the team to improve team performance, processes, and make the team a highly efficient delivery team
- Have a global and future thinking mindset when approaching projects.
What you’ll have
- Experience of delivering in house/JDM within client or externally
- Experience of delivering electronic consumer products to market
- Enthusiastic about new technology and new products
- Ability to present information and data in a clear & concise manner
- Experience of driving new product development from conception to market launch
- Project management experience
- Ability to be pro-active in researching and finding resolutions to issues in a fast-moving environment

- Grasp of all aspects of technical project management including HW, SW, budget, resource management and factory planning
