National Account Manager

Location: Sutton Coldfield (4 days office / 1 day home + regular UK travel)
Salary: A GBP 48,500 + Bonus + Car/Allowance + excellent benefits
Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week: 8.30am:4.45pm (Mon:Thurs), 8.30am:3.45pm (Fri)

Theyre looking for a National Account Manager who isnt your typical salesperson:this is a specialist, productAEUR'focused role representing three wellAEUR'established brands and shaping their commercial success across the UK and Ireland.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Category Manager or Commercial Account Manager who thrives in a productAEUR'led environment rather than a traditional sales:driven role.

The Role:

This is a standAEUR'alone role managing a portfolio worth A GBP 2.5m, with full P and L responsibility, marketing leadership and complete ownership of a set of 16 national accounts. Youll be the face of these brands, becoming a true product specialist in sprayers, fertilisers and application technologies. Expect to work directly with hands:on end users, from retail partners to grounds teams (think: onsite visits at stadiums discussing nozzle components and spray patterns).

Key responsibilities:

* Manage and grow an established account portfolio, ensuring revenue and margin targets are met.
* Act as the UK and Ireland representative for specialist sprayer/application brands.
* Lead the annual marketing strategy for your brands, working closely with commercial and marketing teams.
* Negotiate margins, promotions, NPD listings and category development initiatives.
* Build exceptional, long:term relationships at all levels within key accounts.
* Provide expert product advice, technical support and problem:solving.
* Forecast accurately for all product lines and review promotional performance.
* Coordinate customer service and trade marketing activity on a national scale.
* Represent the business at trade shows and industry events.
* Travel across Europe every 6:8 weeks for trade shows and customer meetings.

About You

Youll be someone who enjoys becoming a true product specialist, not a high:volume salesperson : comfortable getting hands:on with technical details and translating that knowledge into commercial decisions, along with:

* Being a commercially minded account manager with 3+ years managing national retail accounts.
* Having strong marketing understanding : able to shape brand strategy and category development.
* Being confident managing full P and L accountability.
* Being analytical, influential, structured and able to work autonomously.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
* Being comfortable working with technical products (sprayers/fertilisers) and learning in depth.
* PA1/PA6 qualification is ideal, or willingness to complete training.
* French language skills are a bonus (not essential)
