About the role
A well-established technology services organisation is seeking a Datacentre Facilities Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure across multiple datacentre sites. This is a hands-on role, working with internal teams and external contractors to ensure high availability and performance of essential systems.
You will play a key role in maintaining power, cooling, and safety systems, helping to ensure continuous and reliable datacentre operations.
What you’ll be doing
* Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure including power, cooling, and fire systems
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities
* Work with contractors to support repairs and on-site projects
* Monitor systems using building management tools and respond to alerts
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
* Support site operations across multiple locations as required
What we’re looking for
* Experience working with electrical, mechanical, or facilities systems
* Knowledge of infrastructure such as HVAC, generators, or UPS systems
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
* Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and develop within a data centre environment
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
