Atlantic Aviation Group (AAG Defence Services) is a MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based in RAF Brize Norton, UK. We partner with Airbus Aerospace & Defence to provide dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, for the Royal Air Force’s fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft. Our team of over 100 engineers and management operate from a dedicated 24,000m² facility designed for optimal aircraft maintenance. AAG Defence Services is a subsidiary of Atlantic Aviation Group.
Job Purpose
Assist in coordinating aircraft maintenance and customer interactions, while providing high-level technical support regarding aircraft queries. Ensure maintenance on the A400M fleet is performed safely and efficiently, exceeding project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and liaise with Airbus Military UK, third-party suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication on technical issues.
* Oversee technical requirements during pre-input and production control processes, ensuring efficiency and robustness.
* Monitor and report activities as directed by management.
* Maintain positive relationships with internal departments and support good customer and stakeholder communication.
* Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and support audits, providing solutions to issues.
* Manage Technical Queries, including Tech assist functions within AMOS and TQN register updates, ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
* Review damage reports and technical data for quality and accuracy.
* Manage third-party repair processes.
* Create part numbers in the AMOS database.
Health and Safety
* Understand and adhere to personal and operational safety and security responsibilities.
* Support compliance with H&S and aviation safety policies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Effective team player with the ability to work independently.
* Knowledge of aviation safety standards.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Recognized technical apprenticeship or training.
* Aircraft maintenance experience.
* Minimum 3 years in a technical support role.
* Understanding of maintenance production processes, preferably with experience on AMOS or similar systems.
* UK driver’s license, ability to obtain Airbus Military UK SC and CRC certification.
* Experience with maintenance data, aircraft legislation, technical documentation, and drawings.
* Experience with logistics and stores processes is advantageous.
