TV policy is an high profile and exciting area – as technology evolves, viewing habits continue to change, with more TV watched online and from varied sources. This role is part of the Media Strategy team, supporting public‑service media providers such as the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 to thrive amid technological change. It focuses on the prominence of public‑service media content across platforms, ensuring audiences can easily find the content they need.
The successful candidate will develop policy options in this space, engage stakeholders to understand trade‑offs, and advise ministers accordingly. This role will also contribute to wider work on TV policy, including supporting topical and reactive issues with significant political interest, leading on emerging TV policy priorities, and responding to ministerial and parliamentary requests.
