You will be working in the Infrastructure OU, in our Energy sector based in Watford. Our Infrastructure team brings design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
We are currently looking for a Project Director who will provide strategic leadership and direction for major energy sector programmes, ensuring safe, compliant, and commercially effective delivery across complex infrastructure and operational environments.
As the Project Director, you will:
1. Lead and direct delivery of complex, high value energy sector programmes and portfolios.
2. Set strategic direction across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with organisational and client objectives.
3. Provide senior oversight of programme performance, including risk, cost, schedule, and quality.
4. Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
5. Develop and maintain solid senior stakeholder relationships, including clients, regulators, and internal leadership.
6. Ensure effective integration across engineering, construction, commercial, and operational functions.
We are looking for:
7. Extensive experience leading major programmes within the energy sector or comparable infrastructure environments.
8. Track record of delivering complex, multi workstream projects at scale.
9. Deep understanding of programme governance, risk management, and commercial controls.
10. Experience working in regulated environments with strong focus on safety and compliance.
11. Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, including clients and executive leadership.
