Parico is seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer who is smart, curious and prospers against the challenge of working closely with a small business to solve complex and challenging problems across the Public Sector landscape.
You’ll have the freedoms to be truly innovative to roll up your sleeves, get stuck into the detail of systems, and generally do what it takes to achieve incredible technical solutions to our customer’s complex problems.
You will be part of a team developing greenfield systems and services for our clients, using cloud services and on-premise infrastructure components. You’ll have the opportunity to shape operational platforms and services within a close-knit technical team.
Working pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000, plus Company Bonus and Benefits

Responsibilities
* Architecting and engineering cutting-edge network infrastructure from the ground up — designing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting systems that keep our customers connected and future-ready
* Monitoring performance, integrity, and capacity to ensure seamless operations and lightning-fast responsiveness
* Resolving complex technical challenges with precision and creativity, becoming the go-to expert when things get tricky
* Automating repetitive tasks and processes to boost efficiency and free up time for innovation
* Mentoring junior engineers, share your expertise, and help shape the next generation of network talent
* Collaborating with third-party providers and vendors to deliver robust, scalable network services that exceed expectations
Our Ideal Candidate
* Strong understanding of internal and external routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network architecture best practices
* Proven experience managing enterprise-grade datacentre networks and implementing secure solutions (AAA, 802.1x, proxy services) aligned with NCSC guidance
* Advanced knowledge of core networking platforms and architectures
* Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
* Desirable background in UK Defence (Army, RAF, Royal Navy)
