Location: Uxbridge, London
Salary: £12,982 to £18,104 per year (actual salary for 14.4 hours per week, 52 weeks)
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term until 30 June 2026 (with potential to become permanent)
Working days: Mondays and Tuesdays, or Mondays and Wednesdays

About the Role
At Clarus Education, we are supporting a leading Further Education College in Uxbridge to recruit a part-time Lecturer in Health and Social Care — Clinical Nursing specialism.
This Health and Social Care section is a dynamic, vibrant, and highly successful part of the College, delivering a wide range of courses primarily to learners aged 16–19, preparing them for careers in the health and social care sector.
In this role, you will teach across several qualifications, including:
1. Level 3 T Level Technical Qualification in Health and Science
2. BTEC RQF Health and Social Care Levels 1–4
3. Access to Health and Human Science
We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated lecturer who is passionate about helping students achieve their goals and enter the healthcare profession.
Person Specification - Lecturer in Health and Social Care
Qualifications:
4. Degree in Nursing or related area
5. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
6. English and Maths at GCSE Grade C / 4 or equivalent, or willingness to achieve
7. A minimum Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. DET, PGCE) — or willingness and ability to work towards, supported by the College
Knowledge and Experience:
8. Teaching or training experience
9. Experience delivering Health and Social Care programmes, including T Level, Access to Health Sciences, and BTEC RQF (including external exam units)
10. Current or recent clinical experience in the Health/Social Care sector
11. Up-to-date knowledge of the subject area, including strong knowledge of Biology
12. Ability to teach Health and Science content confidently
Other Skills and Attributes:
13. Ability to engage and inspire vocational learners aged 16–19
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills
15. Excellent interpersonal and classroom skills
16. Confident use of IT and e-learning in teaching, including delivering online learning and assessments
17. Good administration and organisational skills
18. Strong team working abilities
19. Self-motivated, with a commitment to student achievement
20. Understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Safeguarding in education
