We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our fantastic team at our Tarmac Halecombe Quarry and Asphalt Plant, Frome, South West and Wales. As well as Frome, this role is easily accessible from Nunney, Shepton Mallet, Warminster, Trowbridge, Bath, Midsomer Norton, Gillingham, Glastonbury and surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Section Manager the duties of the Multi Skilled Operative are part of a key team of Operatives producing dry aggregates material for the construction industry. As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations.
Your responsibilities as the Multi Skilled Operative will include (not exhaustive):
* Operation of the mobile plant including rigid and articulated dump trucks and loading shovel
* Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries
* Assist the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
* Follow SHE policies and procedures
* Ensure Plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
* Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
* Inspections on the plant and acting on defects and implement remedial action
* Ensure that plant availability is maximised
* Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience driving and operating mobile plant – Loading Shovel etc - over 10 tonne
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in the role of a Multi Skilled Operative the following is what we are looking for in a future colleague:
* Experience of driving a Loading shovel or Articulated Dump Truck
* Experience of Loading Vehicles would be highly advantageous
* Knowledge of Plant and previous experience in mobile plant operations
* Good Timekeeping – flexible as to the site requirements
* Good Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
* Full UK manual car Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points
Previous experience working in a Plant / Quarry environment would prove highly beneficial in this role.
