Our Banking client is looking for Concierge/Building Services Officer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of a multi-tenanted building. You will be responsible for security, maintenance, and providing excellent customer service to tenants and staff. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Security & Safety: • Conduct daily security checks, including fire alarm systems, CCTV, and intruder alarms, and complete detailed security checklists. • Manage access control, supervise contractors, and escort visitors. • Ensure compliance with security and safety regulations, including fire safety and health and safety at work. • Respond to and manage security incidents, reporting breaches to the Premises Supervisor. • Participate in quarterly fire drills. • Accompany staff for cash collection when required. Building Maintenance: • Perform daily inspections of the premises, identifying and reporting maintenance issues. • Carry out minor repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs, fuses) and arrange for specialist contractors when necessary. • Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and other building systems. • Manage cleaning services, conduct spot checks, and report any issues. • Manage refuse collection and arrange special collections as needed. • Manage consumable supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper. • Conduct meter readings for utilities and provide reports. Tenant & Customer Service: • Provide a professional and welcoming presence, assisting tenants and staff with enquiries and deliveries. • Manage incoming post and deliveries for tenants. • Address tenant complaints and maintenance requests promptly. • Provide cover for the bank reception area during lunch breaks and for the Premises Supervisor during holidays. • Ensure the staff kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Administrative Duties: • Maintain accurate records and logs. • Manage stationery and other supplies. • Oversee document shredding and archiving. • Ensure compliance with standing instructions. Experience and Skills: • Proven experience in a concierge, building services, or security role. • Strong understanding of security and safety procedures, including fire safety and health and safety regulations. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks. • Strong organisational and administrative skills. • First Aid certification (desirable).
