The Role:
This position is within our Saab Seaeye Business Unit. You will learn about our products, manufacture ROV assemblies from components to testing, and perform fault-finding on returned products requiring servicing or refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture and repair electro-mechanical assemblies.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics for building and fault finding.
* Ensure high standards in soldering and electrical wiring.
* Assist with pressure and soak testing of Saab Seaeye components.
* Maintain proficiency in relevant IT systems.
* Work with complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies at the component level.
* Apply 6S principles and lean practices.
* Maintain professional relationships to meet objectives and deadlines.
* Act ethically and with integrity.
* Manage time effectively to maximize productivity.
* Use judgment and initiative to solve day-to-day challenges.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills:
* Interpret electro-mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
* Experience with mechanical engineering practices.
* Understanding of electronic manufacturing standards like IPC.
* Fault diagnosis skills down to PCB level; component diagnostics advantageous.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering.
* Experience with electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes, megger, multimeters).
