Job Description
I am pleased to be working with a market-leading service provider, as they look for a Credit Controller to join their team! This is a full-time, permanent role and is located in Skelmersdale.

* Salary - £29,000 to £32,000
* Working hours – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (No weekends!)

Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Oversee a designated group of client accounts, ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances.
* Follow up on unpaid invoices using phone calls, emails, and written reminders.
* Work closely with internal teams to investigate, resolve, and close off any billing or invoice discrepancies.
* Prepare and issue weekly and monthly invoices for your assigned group of sites.
* Maintain accurate account records, including payment allocation and account reconciliation.
* Track aged debt, flag any high-risk or persistent issues, and assist with producing monthly performance reports.
* Support ongoing improvements to credit control and invoicing processes.
Specification:
* Background in credit control or accounts receivable, ideally within a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
* Strong communication abilities with confidence in negotiating payment outcomes.
* Good working knowledge of Excel and experience using accounting or finance systems.
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and efficient in managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
* Comfortable prioritising workload and adapting to changing demands.
