Position: Ocean Freight Coordinator \nLocation: Southampton\nHours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30\nSalary: Up to £38,000 \n\nThe ideal candidate will need out-of-gauge, break bulk and project cargo experience within sea freight or shipping industry. A background working with a shipping agency, shipping line or vessel operation would be the perfect candidate, where you will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end shipments and overseeing the transportation of goods via marine vessels. \n\nYour key responsibilities as an Ocean Freight Coordinator:\n\nDealing with OOG, Breakbulk/Project Cargo shipments, planning and logistics.\nEnd-to-end Export operations\nCross-trade experience is highly desirable\nQuotations, negotiating, pricing\nManage all financial aspects of shipments, including costings, booking and coordination of yacht transportation (shipping, cradling, insurance, wrapping, customs, and surveying)\nVessel charter operations (liaising with ship owners, shipbrokers, internal and overseas P&M offices, port agents)\nShipping documentation (eg Bills of Lading, cargo manifest, Mate receipt, LOI)\nDemurrage calculations ( based on our voyage charter party)\nLiaise with the client to gain technical details\nSend communications to clients and keep updated regularly\nUpdate clients with load/discharge sequences even when out of hours\nMonitor cost accuracy from subcontractors / check port costs, and try to maximise our profit by reducing our costs\nWork to resolve operational issues when required\nCommunicate operational matters with loadmaster teams\nEnsure compliance with regulations and trade compliance laws \nBenefits\n\n25 days annual leave + bank holidays\nPaying up to £38,000\nCompany pension\nTrade shows\n#ocean freight coordinator #sea freight coordinator #break bulk #project cargo WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
