* Responsibilities:
* To support the Registered Manager with staff and guidance both by example and by the use of good management practice, including delegation, consultation, regular supervision and other meetings. Too oversee the work of other professionals working, visiting the Home.- To ensure that safe working practices are used in the Home in caring for Young People, including safeguarding policies, procedures, manual handling, safe handling and distribution of medications and medical procedures.- To participate in the recruitment, deployment and development of staff and the application of relevant HR procedures, eg. AMP, annual leave.- To develop and maintain appropriate administrative systems, to collect and interpret statistical data and to participate in the Homes and organisations monitoring processes.- To ensure the responsibility of the organisations complaints and safeguarding procedures are followed and fulfilled, including the investigation of complaints.
* To be responsible for the Homes premises, maintaining the physical and aesthetics of the building and furnishings along with the RM
* To ensure the Home and its practices are compliant with Health & Safety requirements and regulations.
* To continually be building one's own practice by keeping up to date with professional developments and training oppurtunities provided.
* To ensure the Home is compliant with Department for Education regulations and legal frameworks.
* Experience:- Either, CQSW, SW Degree, Diploma 4 or Residential Diploma 5, Level 3.

o Substantial and current experience of working with service users with low self - esteem and challenging behaviour, inc LAC.
* Experience of working in a residential setting for a minimum of two years in the last five years.- Experience of working with service users from a variety of heritages and backgrounds.- Experience of staff/student supervision.Note: This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change or modification at any time.
