This exciting new position will see you join our Rigging Trainee Programme and develop the knowledge and skills required to achieve the industry's National Rigging Certificate. Under our Rigging Trainee Programme, you will be fully supported to achieve success and be provided with the potential opportunity for career progression. You will have the opportunity to participate in a structured program that will develop your skills and knowledge with real-life experience, working alongside a professional team within the National Exhibition Centre. What your day-to-day responsibilities will be: Assembling and preparing rigging equipment. The loading and offloading of equipment from vans. Manoeuvring loads by hand whilst following the health & safety procedures. Communicating with the team on a regular basis. Inspecting rigging before final use. Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment. Skills and Requirements: A keen interest in the live events industry and an aptitude for learning. Excellent communication and listening skills, with an ability to adhere to high standards in a stressful and pressurised environment. An ability to follow development and training schedules. A flexible approach - regularly working evenings, late nights and weekends will be required. Please note that this role is in which high-hazard activities, including working at height, are performed. The role holder will need to be comfortable working at height. The role holder will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing as part of the NEC Group Substance Misuse Policy.
