Youth Support Worker
Location: Swansea
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £13.75 per hour
About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning and enthusiastic about making a real difference in young people’s lives? Teaching Personnel are seeking a Youth Support Worker to work across Secondary and SEN schools in Swansea. We offer flexible positions—part time or full time—to suit your way of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Support students who may experience social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
* Assist teachers when required, including classroom setup, lesson delivery, and participation in activities (after-school clubs, in-class games, etc.).
* Help students progress academically and personally, building confidence and essential life skills.
* Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring.
* Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
* Be available for flexible, same-day cover when needed.
What We Are Looking For
* A confident, outgoing, and positive individual.
* Experience in youth work, mentoring, or education support (preferred but not essential).
* A genuine passion for supporting and working with young people.
* A compassionate, approachable person able to build trust and strong relationships.
* A full UK driving licence.
* An enhanced DBS (child-only) or willingness to obtain one.
