Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established precision engineering company supplying the aerospace sector. This role will suit a skilled machinist with experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines who enjoys producing high precision components within a quality‑driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set and operate CNC milling machines
* Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Select tooling and optimise cutting parameters
* Ensure maximum material utilisation and minimal waste
* Carry out first-off inspections and quality checks
* Maintain accurate production documentation
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
Essential Experience
* Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working within precision engineering / aerospace / high‑spec machining
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable Experience
* Experience with Heidenhain controls
* Knowledge of tooling and cutting strategies
* Basic machine maintenance knowledge
* Forklift / counterbalance licence
