Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. This position requires a strong commitment to high standards of cleanliness and customer service, making it essential for the Housekeeper to be proactive and attentive to detail.
Responsibilities
* Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
* Ensure all rooms and common areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
* Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens as needed.
* Assist with cooking duties when required, preparing simple meals or snacks for guests.
* Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and addressing any concerns.
* Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations within the establishment.
Skills
* Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
* Experience in the hotel industry is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
* Basic cooking skills are beneficial for assisting with meal preparation.
* Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential for maintaining high cleanliness standards.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
