A specialist school in Telford is seeking a dedicated
Teaching Assistant
to join their team supporting children with
Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD). This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about inclusive education, additional needs support, and helping pupils achieve meaningful progress in a nurturing environment.
About the Role
Full-time hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Working with pupils who have
severe learning disabilities
, complex needs, and communication challenges
Supporting teaching staff with classroom activities, learning plans, and behaviour support
Providing one-to-one and small-group assistance
Creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Experience working with children with SEND (SLD, PMLD, ASD, or complex needs) is highly desirable

Ability to follow EHCPs, behaviour plans, and differentiated learning activities

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
