HR Business Partner– Luton, Bedfordshire.

The HR Business Partner position is in Luton and reports to the Head of HR. This role is diverse and hands-on, providing support across various areas including recruitment, employee engagement, labour relations, internal communications, compensation and benefits, employee wellbeing, and training. The HR Business Partner plays a crucial role in implementing organisational development initiatives that promote the company’s culture. Additionally, it ensures that HR policies and procedures are properly governed and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

* Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
* Lead apprenticeship and early careers programs, including outreach and support.
* Coordinate recruitment, manage assessment processes, and communicate with candidates/agencies.
* Support organisational change and consultation processes.
* Act as a trusted advisor on HR matters to employees and managers.
* Manage HR administration and documentation per company policies.
* Assist with payroll in collaboration with Finance.
* Collaborate with line managers to provide proactive HR support.
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Analyse training needs and aid development initiatives.
* Maintain HR metrics and support KPIs.
* Liaise with Trade Union representatives.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

Requirements:

* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
* Generalist HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Strong understanding of UK employment legislation.
* Proven experience in employee relations.
* Interest in apprenticeships and early careers.
* Ability to support organisational change.
* Experience with trade unions is a plus.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
