What will I be doing?
As a Pastry Chef at The Victoria Hotel, working in a team of three in a separate private kitchen off the main kitchen, you will maintain the quality and delicious taste of existing pastries while incorporating your skills and flair to improve the customer experience.
You will understand how seasonality, provenance, and environmental factors impact products and menus, using this knowledge to create seasonal delights that enhance the flavours of available produce. Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating and plating desserts with attention to detail.
* Assisting the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
* Adhering to food hygiene and preparation standards within your brigade.
* Supporting the daily running of the kitchen in a professional, cost-effective manner.
* Envisioning and creating a menu featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
* Applying knowledge of food safety and health and safety to manage risks and support a high-standard environment.
