We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Consultant for our Durability and Reliability team in the UK. The team helps customers with all aspects of durability and reliability engineering and the use of nCode and ReliaSoft software. The role focuses on durability-related tasks like fatigue life prediction, digital signal processing, and vibration analysis. The position includes providing engineering technical support during the pre- and post-sales process, presenting formal training courses on durability (primarily focused on our nCode DesignLife software and other nCode technology), and providing engineering consulting services. There will also be opportunities to work with our Reliasoft reliability portfolio. You will join our dedicated sales and technical team supporting a global customer base.
This position is remote within the UK with periodic travel to our offices (Sheffield area) and customer sites.
Primary Responsibilities
* Assist customers with all aspects of durability engineering as it relates to the use of nCode and software. This includes daily activities such as:
* Customer-oriented activities:
* Investigate and understand customers’ durability analysis requirements.
* Demonstrate nCode durability engineering software to customers in pre-sales scenarios, highlighting solutions and benefits.
* Answer technical questions that existing and potential customers have about durability.
* Support and service-oriented activities:
* Conduct training courses on durability engineering concepts and software.
* Provide post-sales technical support for nCode users via phone, email, and web.
* Provide consulting services for durability engineering.
* Product-focused activities:
* Provide feedback to product management on future software functionality.
Professional Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical, aerospace, civil, or industrial) or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
* 5+ years of engineering experience.
* Experience with nCode software is beneficial, but not required.
* Travel to our offices or customer sites is expected, predominantly within the UK, with the possibility of international travel once or twice per year.
* You must be able to travel freely within the UK to support the team and our customers.
