Responsibilities

Reports directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. This is a hands‑on Supervisor’s role and works as part of a team. The role will take responsibility for all statutory compliance and will conduct all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks, from fault rectification to fault investigations and emergency call outs.

Working across Taymouth Castle Estate, Glenlyon Estate, Moness Resort and Kenmore Village. This role covers all areas and includes guest homes as required, staff housing, and various buildings and infrastructure throughout the estate.

The facilities include, but not exclusive to, Lighting, HVAC, Water, Gas Electrical generation and distribution, Fire, Access equipment, plant vehicles, buildings, infrastructure and associated assets, grounds, pathways, and roads. Support and participate in this through the department management on call system.

Together with your team you deliver first class maintenance, completing all PPM on time and to the standard associated with our Club, from infrastructure and buildings to fault rectification and as directed by Facilities and Operations management.

Plan and implement the daily maintenance tasks; reactive, preventative, and project‑based workloads. Provide strong knowledge and skills to Senior Leadership in Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Services. Which can include fire and life safety systems and equipment, HVAC, electrical systems, kitchen appliances, refrigeration equipment, lighting, and laundry.

Manage all work requests or logistical support needs and ensure that accurate and clear descriptions are provided prior to acceptance. With all tasks dealt with in order of priority. Lead by example, follow correct processes and procedures with Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance PPM, and Standard Operating Procedures SOPs. Coach and guide in the correct use of assets, equipment, and systems. Ensuring the correct operation and use of all assets, equipment, and systems. Lead and coordinate the shutdown and start‑up of utilities when conditions necessitate.

Navigate mobile applications to report and record tasks. Good written, verbal, interpersonal and IT skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Maintain excellent documentation, ensuring Work Order reports and offer a detailed description and are fully reflective of the completed and outstanding work. Utilise the Workday platform to create work schedules and record your team’s activity.

Ensure the emergency call out list is up to date and maintain an inventory of all tools and equipment used ensuring that they are in good condition, maintained, serviced and used in accordance with safety protocols with parts or replacements ordered as required; faults, defects, risks and hazards are reported to management.

Although the role is based at the castle, there will be travel between assets. You will be required to perform tasks that require heavy lifting and physical exertion as well as working in challenging terrain in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and wind. Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role or environment which involved people‑management. Experience of motivating, coaching and supporting teams to achieve high performance. Highly motivated with a sense of pride in work. Passionate about delivering refined, personalised, anticipatory service with a vision for quality and excellence displaying high level of professionalism, integrity and accountability, taking ownership and leading by example.

Excellent time‑management, organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and adapt accordingly to suit the profile of the business. Flexible in approach to working hours to support operational requirements, including peak periods and emergency situations.

* Technical Expertise an advanced practical Plumbing, Rural water supplies, HVAC units, boiler plant operations, and plant controls.
* Safety compliance certifications like HSG274 (Water), F‑Gas, Gas Safe registration, CSCS and HSG85 (Electricity).
* Full UK driving licence - You will be required to travel between locations.
